The Avendale Village is the largest village in Ladera Ranch and is in the
heart of the community.  Founders Park is the location of the Harvest Festival
and the Fourth of July parade and fireworks display.
The Avendale Village is comprised of thirteen neighborhoods (or builder tracts).
The following neighborhoods are in the Avendale Village:  Front Street (single
family homes with zoning for home businesses), Charleston Place (condos),
Berkshire (condos), Greenbriar (condos), St. May’s Road (condos), Savannah
(single family homes), Sterling Glen (single family homes), Canopy Lane (single
family homes), Tether Moon (single family homes), Willow Bend (single family
homes), Sumners Way (single family homes), Astoria (single family homes) and
Weatherhaven (single family homes).
Most of the Avendale Village is served by Ladera Ranch Elementary School, Ladera
Ranch Middle School and Tesoro High School.  A small portion of the south end of
the village* is served by Oso Grande Elementary School instead of Ladera Ranch
Middle School.  When the new Capistrano Unified School District school
boundaries take effect in fall 2007, Flintridge Village will still be served by
the same elementary and middle schools, but will then be served by San Juan
Hills High School instead of Tesoro High School.
